Fire Glass Ltd is seeking to appoint a full-time Factory Operative/Driver at its Scotland branch in Edinburgh. The role involves heavy lifting, manual handling, and working to tight deadlines, while also offering training across different aspects of the glass processing with opportunities to develop new skills and progress within the company.
Your Tasks
- Support the production team with general labouring duties and assist glass operatives as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Safely handle, move, store, and package glass products and materials.
- Operate production machinery, hand tools, and lifting equipment in accordance with training and company procedures.
- Carry out basic quality checks and promptly report any defects or quality concerns.
- Load and unload materials and assist with production activities to ensure customer orders are completed on time.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Assist with housekeeping, waste disposal, and recycling activities.

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is desirable but not essential.
