Fire Glass UK is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers, suppliers, and glaziers of fire and acoustic glass, and is looking to appoint a committed, driven, and keen Full-time driver at their Midlands branch based in Oldbury.

1. To deliver a variety of glass types to customers, in line with agreed route and time schedule.
2. Collect a variety of glass types as required from a variety of pick up points.
3. Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as fuel, oil, water etc, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
4. Report any mechanical problems with vehicles.
5. Inspect and verify the content of loads against delivery documents, reporting any issues with quality or load discrepancies to line manager.
6. Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle.
7. Load vehicle in an order that matches delivery schedule to ensure all goods are delivered on time.
8. Obtain relevant signatures for goods when you deliver.
9. Resolve client complaints on site where possible, or identify, and pass complaint on to relevant person for resolution.
10. Present receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded.
11. Complete logs and reports in accordance with Department Of Transport regulations and safety standards; recording mileage and fuel bought.
12. Comply with the company’s policies and procedures as set out within the Employee Handbook, Accreditations Manual (including Best Practice Quality Guide) and the Health and Safety Manual, as updated from time to time.
13. Comply with the requirements for the role as set out within the company’s Integrated Management System (currently comprising of the Quality Management System, Environmental Management System and the Health and Safety Management System), as updated from time to time.
14. Comply with the requirements of any Core Duties or other relevant procedural or policy document applicable to your role.
15. The post holder must also undertake other duties within his/her competence or otherwise appropriate to the grading of the post as required.

Customer service experience

Three years driving experience, two of which should be driving delivery vehicle

Holder of valid and applicable driving license

Factory/Warehouse experience is an added advantage
