UK Senior Credit Controller

The Senior Credit Controller is responsible for managing the company’s credit control function for the UK entities of Saverto (3 off), ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, minimising financial risk, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

This position is a 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the credit control process across the UK business
• Monitor aged debt reports and ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices
• Proactively chase overdue payments via phone, email, and formal correspondence
• Assess and set customer credit limits based on risk analysis
• Review and approve new customer accounts and credit terms
• Resolve complex invoice queries and disputes efficiently
• Liaise with sales and customer service teams to resolve account issues
• Escalate high-risk or problematic accounts where necessary
• Ensure compliance with company policies

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in credit control, with senior-level responsibility
• Strong knowledge of credit risk management and debt recovery processes
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications (e.g., CICM – Chartered Institute of Credit Management) are advantageous

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
